HC Deb 14 March 1951 vol 485 c164W
65. Mr. Gammans

asked the Minister of Food what quantities of edible oil, including liver oil, were imported in 1950 from the sea lion and sea elephant processing plant financed by the Colonial Development Corporation of the Falkland Islands: and what quantities he expects to receive in 1951–52, respectively.

Mr. Webb

No oil from this plant has yet been offered to us, and I cannot therefore say what quantities we may buy this year or next; but we should, of course, buy any oil suitable for our needs providing it is offered to us at a reasonable price.
