asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement concerning the recent talks he has had with the Retail Apparel Margins Committee.

My right hon. Friend had a meeting with the Retail Apparel Margins Committee on Wednesday, 7th March. A full exchange of views took place, and further consultations are now being held between officials of the Board of Trade and representatives of the Committee.
