HC Deb 13 March 1951 vol 485 cc132-3W
94. Mr. Wilkes

asked the Minister of Local Government and Planning how many housing authorities in the North East Region have succeeded during the last two years in acquiring land outside their local government boundary for housing purposes after a local inquiry; and what is the average time taken to obtain ministerial consent measured from the time the request for an inquiry is made to the announcement of the decision.

Mr. Dalton

Only Sunderland. The average time between a direction to hold a local inquiry and my decision is about eight weeks.
