HC Deb 13 March 1951 vol 485 c150W
129. Mrs. Braddock

asked the Minister of Labour what steps were taken to ensure the safety of workers employed by Wood-houses, Liverpool, before demolition was allowed to proceed, as required by Safety, Health and Welfare Regulations, 1948.

Mr. Lee

The accident which occurred on 23rd February in connection with the demolition operations at the premises in question and which unfortunately involved the death of two employees of Messrs. Woodhouse, has been investigated by the Factory Department. Legal proceedings are under consideration, and in view of this I do not think I should now make a more detailed statement.
