Mr. Llewellynasked the Attorney-General whether his attention has been drawn to the District Auditor's report upon the financial returns of the Glamorgan County Council for the year 1948–49; whether the evidence of false pretences, which it contains, has been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions; and whether he will make a statement.
The Attorney-GeneralNo. This matter has not yet been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions. I understand that the report in question is to be considered by the Glamorgan County Council at its next meeting. In view of this I do not propose, at this stage, to give any directions in regard to this matter.
