§ 76. Mr. Haireasked the Minister of Health what steps he is taking to ensure that the forthcoming census of population will be comprehensive in coverage and complete in detail.
§ Mr. MarquandThe country has been divided into some 50,000 enumeration districts, for each of which an enumerator will be responsible under the direction of the local census officer. Special arrangements are being made by the Registrar-General with the Customs and Excise as regards shipping, the Service authorities as regards the Armed Forces, the police as regards vagrants, the transport undertakings as regards night travellers. The census schedules contain full instructions for their completion and help will also be given as needed by the enumerators.
