HC Deb 08 March 1951 vol 485 cc76-7W
Brigadier Medlicott

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware that, for climatic and other reasons which have interfered with the agricultural timetable, there will be the need for more workers on the land this year: and what plans he has in hand to ensure that adequate numbers of men will be available.

Mr. T. Williams

Although the weather has been adverse, I expect that the agricultural industry, with the usual assistance from the Ministry of Labour and National Service and my Department, will be able to handle the seasonal work ahead.
