HC Deb 07 March 1951 vol 485 cc60-1W
Captain Bullock

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that Malayan rubber is still being shipped to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and that the ss. "Stanrealm" carried a cargo valued at £4 million to Odessa in January and February; and what steps he proposes to take in the matter.

Mr. J. Griffiths

Yes. I am aware that the ss. "Stranrealm" when she sailed early last month from Singapore for Odessa was carrying rubber. As far as the last part of the Question is concerned, I would refer the hon. Member to my answer to a similar Question by the hon. Member for Maidstone (Mr. Bossom) on the 12th February.
