Mr. Irvine

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the visit to this country in July, 1950, by a Parliamentary delegation from Israel, he will arrange for a return visit to be paid to Israel by a Parliamentary delegation from this country.

Mr. Younger

An invitation has been received from the Chairman of the Israel Knesset for a similar delegation from this country to visit Israel towards the end of March. This invitation has been accepted with pleasure, and a delegation will leave on 25th March, spend eight days in Israel and return on 3rd April.

The composition of the delegation will be as follows:—my right hon. Friend the Member for Colne Valley (Mr. Glenvil Hall), (Leader); my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Stockton-on-Tees (Mr. Chetwynd); my hon. Friend the Member for Leith (Mr. Hoy); my hon. Friend the Member for Stalybridge and Hyde (Mr. Lang); the hon. Member for Derbyshire, West (Mr. Wakefield); the hon. Member for Runcorn (Mr. Vosper); the hon. Member for Cathcart (Mr. John Henderson); the noble Lord, the Viscount Samuel.
