HC Deb 26 June 1951 vol 489 cc121-2W
83. Mr. Walker-Smith

asked the Minister of Local Government and Planning how many local planning authorities have submitted to him development plans in accordance with Section 5 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947; and how many have been granted extensions of time beyond 1st July, 1951, within which to submit them.

Mr. Dalton

Nine local planning authorities have so far submitted development plans; 14 more will do so by 1st July; 113 have asked for and have been granted extensions; 20 of these extensions are for a few weeks only, until the next meeting of the local planning authorities. Ten others have not yet asked for extensions, but are expected to do so.
