HC Deb 21 June 1951 vol 489 c85W
112. Mr. G. Williams

asked the Minister of Food if he will make up the extra meat allowance for those suffering from steatorrhoea to what it was before the meat ration was cut.

Mr. F. Willey

On these matters my right hon. Friend is advised by the Food Rationing (Special Diets) Committee of the Medical Research Council, who have considered the effect on invalids of the cut in the meat ration and have assured my right hon. Friend that since milk is unrationed and supplies of dried milk are available, there is no need to increase the meat ration to patients suffering from steatorrhoea.
