§ Mr. StracheyYes. The steps which have been taken in this particular case are referred to in paragraph 10 of the Report. All units and establishments; have been instructed to carry out more surprise checks of cash holdings and a suitable questionnaire has been drawn up for completion by officers making these checks, some of whom may not be trained in accounting duties. In addition, inspections are carried out by trained audit staff.
