HC Deb 04 June 1951 vol 488 c81W
Mr. Granville

asked the Minister of Local Government and Planning whether he will ensure that Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Scott, of the Old Bungalow, Aldringham, receive housing priority provided for under Section 85 (2) of the Housing Act, 1936, in view of the fact that Mrs. Scott has recently undergone several serious internal operations, and their present home is not suitable for her to live in.

Mr. Dalton

The selection of tenants for council houses is a matter reserved by statute to the housing authority. I have no doubt that the council will give Mr. and Mrs. Scott's case all proper consideration.
