92. Mr. Baker Whiteasked the Minister of Fuel and Power what representations he has received from the Chairman of the National Coal Board regarding the delay in the delivery of underground mining equipment, particularly conveyor units; and what action he has taken to ensure quicker delivery.
§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerI do not know to what particular representations the hon. Member refers, but my Department and I are, of course, in touch with the National Coal Board about their supplies problems. The action taken by the Government has been explained in the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for Heeley (Mr. P. Roberts) on 4th June and in the statement made by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 28th June about steel supplies.
