72. Major Lloydasked the Minister of Food what is the average price over the last three months at which his Department has been selling wool; and what profit has been made over this period.
§ Mr. WebbThe average price realised for wool sold on behalf of my Department during the last three months of 1950 was 100½d. per lb. Wool is not bought separately by my Department. The whole live animal is bought at a price covering carcase, offals and skin, and it is not possible to estimate separately the financial result of the disposal of wool.
