§ Mr. W. EdwardsIn December last the average number of civilian residents was 231, and of the staff, 48. The basic weekly charge is 35s. plus 2s. 6d. if supper is taken. Including all ascertainable costs, the average weekly cost per resident of running the hostel works out at 55s. 6d.
