§ 106. Mr. Gammansasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement on the increase in the number of bandit attacks which have taken place in Malaya since the beginning of December.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsThere has been no major change in the general situation in Malaya during the past two months but the number of bandit attacks has in fact decreased slightly since the beginning of December. The total number of bandit attacks for the first week in December was 98, whilst the totals for the first two weeks in January were 86 and 97. Major incidents have been somewhat lower during December and January than in November of last year.
