HC Deb 28 February 1951 vol 484 c299W
113. Lieut. - Commander Hutchison

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation if he will make a statement on the withdrawal of the direct air service between Edinburgh and London; and intimate when this service will be re-opened.

Mr. Beswick

I understand that unfortunately the service was interrupted because of shortage of aircraft. A limited service was restarted on the 26th February and B.E.A.C. intend to re-introduce the full service as soon as possible.
