§ Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Agriculture to state county by county the amount of the grants provided under the marginal land scheme in 1950, with an indication of the kind of improvements effected.

Assistance is designed to increase production on poor farms by carrying out programmes of improvement chiefly associated with the re-seeding of rough or worn-out grassland and the reclamation of derelict parts of holdings for conversion to grassland or tillage.
