asked the Minister of Food whether the Inter-departmental Committee on Meat Inspection has yet reported; and at what date the report will be published.

The Committee submitted their report a day or two ago and I am now considering it in consultation with my right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Minister of Health. I will make a statement about publication as soon as possible.
