§ 53. Commander Maitlandasked the Minister of Agriculture what price per lb. was paid by his Department for first Lincoln ewe wool to farmers for the 1950 clip; and for what price per lb. was the wool sold by the Government agents on 17th November, 1950, and 26th January, 1951, respectively.
Mr. T. WilliamsIn accordance with the schedule of prices drawn up last May the price paid to farmers for greasy first Lincoln ewe wool of the 1950 clip was 21¾ pence per lb. The prices received for selected parcels of this wool when graded and sold by auction were 102d. per lb. on 17th November, 1950, and 125½d. per lb. on 26th January, 1951.
