§ Brigadier Smythasked the Minister of Health if he will give fresh consideration to the question of a new tuberculosis clinic in the Brixton area of Lambeth in view of the fact that his proposed decision to move the old Effra Road tuberculosis clinic to Dulwich will mean a serious loss of amenity to South Lambeth, where tuberculosis is already of alarming proportions and its incidence is steadily increasing.
100W
§ Mr. MarquandNo. The existing premises are unsatisfactory and the facilities at St. Francis Hospital which is little over a mile away will be excellent. There should be no hardship to patients resident in South Lambeth. I cannot agree that tuberculosis is increasing in Lambeth. Statistics show a decrease in 1950.
