HC Deb 15 February 1951 vol 484 c101W
Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Minister of Health whether he will now permit male nurses with five or more years' hospital experience to take the special intensive course of training which prepares them for the qualifying examination to become State Registered Nurses.

Mr. Marquand

The conditions of admission to the special intensive courses of training for State Registration are governed by the Rules of the General Nursing Council which require candidates to have held Class I Nursing Orderly rank, or its equivalent, in the Services of the Crown.
