§ Mr. R. Carrasked the Minister of Health what progress is now being made in the development of the Medresco bone conduction hearing aid for supply under the National Health Service; and whether he will give an estimate as to how soon the supply will commence.
§ Mr. MarquandConsiderable progress is being made in determining the performance characteristics which will be best suited for the majority of patients who require a bone-conduction receiver. I regret that I am unable to estimate how soon it will be possible to supply aids with such receivers in the National Health Service.
