HC Deb 15 February 1951 vol 484 c100W
Mr. R. Carr

asked the Minister of Health what progress is now being made in the development of the Medresco bone conduction hearing aid for supply under the National Health Service; and whether he will give an estimate as to how soon the supply will commence.

Mr. Marquand

Considerable progress is being made in determining the performance characteristics which will be best suited for the majority of patients who require a bone-conduction receiver. I regret that I am unable to estimate how soon it will be possible to supply aids with such receivers in the National Health Service.
