§ 112. Sir W. Wakefieldasked the Postmaster-General what action is being taken by the British Broadcasting Corporation to co-operate with the Central Electricity Authority in giving warning to consumers to reduce electricity consumption to minimise electricity cuts and 73W in warning consumers that a cut is about to be made.
§ Mr. Ness EdwardsThis is a matter for the B.B.C., but I understand that warnings of impending cuts over large areas are frequently broadcast already. Methods of helping the public in this matter are constantly under discussion between the B.B.C. and the British Electricity Authority.
