§ Mr. TomlinsonDetailed statistics for the year 1950 are not yet available, but during the year reorganisations affecting 503 schools were approved by my Department. In January, 1950, 82 per cent. of all pupils aged 13 in maintained and assisted schools were in schools or depart-222W ments providing only secondary education, compared with 80 per cent. a year previously.
