§ 94. Sir W. Smithersasked the President of the Board of Trade what percentage of the country's total production of art paper is being used for the Festival of Britain at the latest available date.
Mr. H. WilsonI cannot give an exact figure as we have no recent returns of production, but a fair estimate of the percentage of our annual production used either by the Festival authorities themselves or directly under their auspices would be about 4 per cent. I cannot, of course, give any figure for the many local efforts which are being made in many parts of the country in connection with the Festival year.
