§ 99. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what adjustments have been made in the Ten Year Development Plan for Nigeria as the result of lack of revenue; and what action is being taken by the Nigerian Government to secure additional funds to implement the whole plan.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsThe revised plan has not yet been laid before the Nigerian Legislative Council and I am still in consultation with the Governor on it. I expect that it will be laid before the Legislative Council at its meeting next month and at that time I should be very glad to deal with the point raised. But I think that a statement by me at present would be premature.
