55. Brigadier Medlicott

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs how soon the United Kingdom will ratify the Convention on Human Rights submitted by the European Consultative Assembly.

57. Lieut.-Commander Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when the United Kingdom intends to ratify the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms signed at Rome on 4th November, 1950.

The text of the Council of Europe Convention on Human Rights was laid on the Table on 23rd January. If no objections are raised, the instrument of ratification will be prepared on or

output in each division carried by such conveyors; the percentage of the total output in each division at present transported by other mechanical means, including small electric battery and other locomotives; and the percentage of the total output of all mines that is now carried by mechanical conveyors.
