§ 76. Mrs. Braddockasked the Minister of Food if he is aware that for the past three Thursdays calves have been killed at the Liverpool abattoir, and because butchers will not pay the price required for the calves' heads approximately 250 at each killing have been thrown on the waste heap; and if he will make it possible for any further calves' heads to be made available to hospitals or children's meals centres in order to prevent waste of nourishing food, and see that the same method is not operating in other abattoirs.
§ Mr. WebbMy hon. Friend will be glad to know that arrangements have now been made to sell for human consumption all suitable calves' heads.
