§ Mr. Vaughan-Morganasked the Attorney-General what arrangements exist for reviewing the appointments of referees appointed under the Landlord and Tenant Act, 1927, and for removing those whose qualifications and capabilities no longer are satisfactory.
The Attorney-GeneralThe appointment and removal of referees is in the hands of the committee appointed by the Act which consists of the Lord Chief Justice, the Master of the Rolls, the President of the Law Society and the President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. That committee has full powers to remove any referee who is in their opinion no longer qualified or capable of carrying out his duties satisfactorily.
