§ Major Lloyd GeorgeDuring the year ended 31st March, 1951, my Department purchased 122,553 cattle, 1,131,464 sheep and lambs, 154,130 calves and 57,402 pigs from collecting centres in Wales and Monmouth. In the same period payments amounting to £11,302,774 were made to the producers who use these centres. I regret that it is not possible without unjustifiable labour to apportion these payments over each class of stock purchased.
