HC Deb 06 December 1951 vol 494 cc314-5W
Mr. Alport

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will investigate the circumstances surrounding the telegram sent from Edenderry, Belfast, on 6th September, 1951, to Mr. and Mrs. Whitelaw, 46, Fairhead Road, Colchester, containing news of an urgent matter and which was never received by Mr. and Mrs. Whitelaw, at present of 62 Canterbury Road, Colchester.

Mr. Gammans

I very much regret that this important telegram was not received by Mr. and Mrs. Whitelaw. Inquiry has been made, but it has not been possible to establish where the failure occurred.
