HC Deb 04 December 1951 vol 494 cc237-8W
Mr. Viant

asked the Secretary of State for War how far his regulations insist on reservists called up for service who have already been vaccinated and inoculated being done again; and whether he can give an assurance that they are told that these operations are voluntary.

Mr. Head

There is no regulation which insists that a reservist called up for service must be re-vaccinated and re-inoculated. It is not usual, nor do I think it necessary, specially to draw each man's attention to the fact that vaccination and inoculation are voluntary: this fact is well known throughout the Army.
