HC Deb 04 December 1951 vol 494 cc232-3W
109. Mr. R. Robinson

asked the Minister of Pensions what changes have recently been made among those employed in his Department at Blackpool; when these changes were decided upon; and what efforts have been made to find work elsewhere for those whose employment has been terminated.

Mr. Amory

I am not aware of any recent changes in the work of my Blackpool office which have appreciably affected the number of staff employed. 118 officers at Blackpool have resigned in the normal course in the last twelve months and it has been possible to avoid replacing them, but no officers have had their employment terminated on grounds of redundancy. The last part of the Question does not therefore arise.
