asked the Minister of Agriculture how many cases of poultry and sheep worrying by dogs were reported in Kent during the 12 months ended 31st August, 1951; in how many cases a prosecution followed; and what was the estimated loss in poultry and sheep entailed.

I have been informed that 78 cases of poultry worrying and 242 cases of sheep worrying by dogs were reported to the Kent County police during the 12 months ended 31st August, 1951. In 29 cases there were prosecutions. The losses amounted to 647 poultry and 306 sheep killed and 51 poultry and 174 sheep injured.
