§ 116. Mr. Haleasked the Secretary of State for War why Mr. Fred Earnshaw, 18 Mold Street, Oldham, who joined the Forces in 1938 and in 1946 was placed on Class B Reserve and was last year recalled for foreign service, has now been placed on Class Z Reserve.
§ Mr. HeadThe fixed period of service for which this soldier enlisted in 1938 was prolonged by the Military and Air Forces (Prolongation of Service) Act, 1939. On completion of his normal Regular engagement, covering his period with the Colours and in Class B of the Royal Army Reserve, he was transferred to Class Z of the Royal Army Reserve in the same way as other Regular soldiers similarly placed.
