§ 92. Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Labour why Mr. Ewart Taylor, of 8, High Street, Knutton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, who has served in the Army for 13 months and resigned his commission in order to stand as a candidate for Parliament, has been instructed to re-register for military service.
§ Sir P. BennettMr. Taylor was called upon to re-register because he is liable under Section 23 of the National Service Act, 1948, to be called upon to complete his period of whole-time and part-time service under the Act. I understand, however, that he has been invited to resume his commission.
