§ Mr. EcclesOne hundred and seventy buildings with a total area of about 5 million square feet have been completed at a cost of approximately £20 million since the war for use as Government offices (of which nearly 2 million square feet has been provided in offices erected by private developers for lease to the Govment). Sixty-six offices to provide a further 2 million square feet are under construction. During this period the amount of property held on requisition by the Government for office purposes was reduced by 12.8 million square feet.
