HC Deb 04 December 1951 vol 494 c233W
110. Mr. Ian Harvey

asked the Minister of Pensions how many A.C. tricycles have so far been issued to disabled persons; how much it has cost his Department to maintain these vehicles; and what inspection and servicing arrangements are made by his Department.

Mr. Amory

2,275 A.C. tricycles have so far been delivered to disabled persons. The cost to my Department for running repairs has been approximately £8,500.

The machines are inspected and serviced at approved garages after running 200 miles and again after a further 500 miles. Further inspection and servicing after each subsequent 1,000 miles is being arranged.
