§ 123. Mr. Goughasked the Secretary of State for War what facilities the 16th Parachute Brigade have for carrying out their parachute training; and to what extent static balloons and aircraft are used in this training.
§ Mr. HeadSome of the aircraft provided for this brigade's training will be used for continuation parachute training in the Middle East from 1st January, 1952. Instructors, ground training equipment and parachute packing facilities are already available there.
Initial parachute training, for which a static balloon is used in conjunction with aircraft, will continue in this country.
