HC Deb 02 August 1951 vol 491 c269W
Mr. M. MacMillan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps are being taken to extend the processing of seaweed and seaweed products in the Isle of South Uist beyond the present operations of gathering and drying in the island.

Mr. McNeil

The seaweed operations in South Uist are in the hands of a private concern and I am therefore not in a position to give the information asked for by my hon. Friend.
