HC Deb 02 August 1951 vol 491 cc222-3W
43. Mr. Hayman

asked the Minister of Health how many beds at the County Isolation Hospital for West Cornwall are permanently staffed; and what was the weekly average number occupied during the past six months.

Mr. Marquand

There are 10 beds staffed at present. The average number occupied during the past six months was 11.

44. Mr. Hayman

asked the Minister of Health how many fever-trained nurses employed by the West Cornwall Hospital Management Committee have volunteered for service at the County Isolation Hospital in an emergency.

Mr. Marquand

I understand that only two fever-trained staff are employed by this hospital management committee, apart from those in the isolation hospital, and that one has volunteered, the other being an assistant matron at one of the larger general hospitals.
