asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the total amount paid by His Majesty's Stationery Office to the Post Office for the carriage of customers' orders in the financial year 1950–51; and what was the total postage costs received from customers.

The total amount paid was£24,577 4s. 6d.; postage is charged to customers, but the receipts are included in the gross total of receipts from sales and are not recorded separately.
