HC Deb 26 April 1951 vol 487 c85W
60. Mr. Vaughan-Morgan

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the reason for the proposed reduction in staff of the Organisation and Methods Division of the Treasury from 81 to 73 in the current year.

Mr. Jay

The reduction is being made in the number of junior officers because the nature of the work on which the Division is likely to be engaged this year does not call for their services. I am quite satisfied that the change will not reduce the Division's effectiveness.
