§ 61. Mrs. Braddockasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why neither acknowledgement or comment has been conveyed to the Police Federation of England and Wales in reply to representations of 23rd November, 1950, and resolutions of January and February, 1951, regarding the dissatisfaction in the police on pay conditions.
§ Mr. EdeRepresentations on this subject were made verbally at the meeting of the Police Council on 23rd November and were discussed at that meeting. I am unable to trace any resolutions on the subject in either January or February, but I have recently received, and an now considering, a request from the Joint Central Committee that an early meeting of the Police Council should be called to discuss the need for increases in police pay.
