§ 108. Mr. Woodasked the Minister of National Insurance whether she will consider amending the National Insurance (Seasonal Workers) Regulations, 1950, to permit those genuinely seeking work, but unable to find it, to receive benefit.
Mr. B. TaylorI would refer the hon. Member to paragraph 13 of the Report of the National Insurance Advisory Committee on Seasonal Workers (House of Commons Paper 262, 1949) in which this matter is considered. My right hon. Friend accepted the Committee's advice and sees no reason for departing from it now.
