Silvermanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any agreement is now in force to enable members of the United States Forces stationed in this country to discharge their obligations under the compulsory third-party insurance provisions of the Road Traffic Act; and what arrangements exist for the judicial determination of disputed claims and the payment of damages judicially awarded.
§ Mr. Ernest DaviesService vehicles of the United States Armed Forces stationed in this country are, in accordance with the provisions of the United States of 205W America (Visiting Forces) Order, 1942, exempt from the compulsory insurance provisions of the Road Traffic Act, 1930. Claims due to the use of such vehicles are dealt with by the United States Claims Commission.
