§ Mr. BarnesThe total cost is estimated at £207,500, of which £97,500 had been spent when the war necessitated the suspension of the work. The work had to be completed to enable the electrification of the railway to be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the London and North Eastern Railway (London Transport) Act, 1936.
