§ 45. Mr. Blackasked the Prime Minister what support His Majesty's Government are giving to the national day of prayer for the United Nations and world peace, which is being arranged by the leaders of the Churches on Sunday 29th October.
§ The Prime MinisterI am aware that the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, together with the heads of other Churches, have issued a call for the nation-wide observance of next Sunday. 347W 29th October, as a day of prayer for peace and for the United Nations, His Majesty's Government have the fullest sympathy with this appeal and hope that it will meet with a wide response.
